Yea!! Hi everyone! WoW Connect! is back for a second season of encouragement, learning and fun for women. If this is your first time with us, this is a blog with a purpose--to help see you through the months of chilly weather and hectic holidays. We can't change the weather, but hopefully you'll find something here to help you experience joy until spring graces us again.
Just as an introduction to our different columns: You will find a biblical devotional each month in At His Feet. Get to know a different precious lady from our Sugar Grove Church congregation each month, interviewed by Diana Gipson, in Women of Worth: Life Stories. In Coffee and a Book, Jen Nofziger continues to bring us reviews of books she's reading down there in North Carolina (Jen tells it like it is--recommends the great ones and steers us away from . . . well, just wait til you read this month's review!). :) Denise Perez has a great all-natural beauty tip for us in Home Made Simple, and the Question of the Week and God Sightings columns are there for your interaction. This year we have two new columns we're excited for you to read! Mom to Mom is especially for mothers, written by experienced mothers. Dawn McCandless shares her her heart with us this month. Fit for Him is our fitness column, and Ashley Haeberle has some expert advice for October.
Have you figured out yet what our theme is this month? No, it's not television. It's "Family!" The photos on this post depict practically-perfect, or at least usually-happy, families. This may or may not be close to the type of family ties you've had, but wherever your experiences land on the spectrum, we hope you have found or will find your place in God's family, through His Son, Jesus Christ. May you find a nugget of truth to cling to as you read WoW Connect!, and find a reason to celebrate God's sovereign placement of you in your family.
You are loved,
Laurie Ness, Editor
